- President Donald Trump told CNBC’s “Squawk Box” this morning that he does not plan to extend the U.S.-Iran ceasefire set to expire tomorrow, even if the expected talks between the warring countries in Islamabad today are productive. Of his threats to hit civilian infrastructure, Trump said the U.S. is “raring to go.”
- Vice President JD Vance heads to Pakistan today for a second round of talks between the United States and Iran. Iran’s parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, will arrive in Islamabad early Wednesday, The Associated Press reported.
- Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will travel to Pakistan’s capital of Islamabad for talks, but only if U.S. Vice President JD Vance is present, a foreign diplomat inside of Tehran with close contact to Ghalibaf told MS NOW yesterday.
- The State Department said it would host another round of negotiations between Israel and Lebanon on Thursday. Over 6,100 people have been killed in the Middle East since the U.S. and Israel began their war with Iran in late February, with 2,200 of them having been killed in Lebanon, according to the country’s health ministry.
