- President Donald Trump said on Truth Social this morning that he ordered the U.S. Navy to “shoot and kill any boat” laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
- The Pentagon said today that U.S. naval forces boarded what it called an unsanctioned tanker transporting Iranian oil in the Indian Ocean overnight. The Iranian Red Crescent Society said a cargo ship attacked this week by U.S. forces was carrying lifesaving medical supplies.
- U.S. Central Command said it has forced 31 vessels to turn around as part of the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports. Most of the blocked vessels were oil tankers, CENTCOM said.
