- Iran’s foreign minister today defended his country’s counterproposal for a framework to end the war, saying that “the only thing we demanded was Iran’s legitimate rights.” President Donald Trump over the weekend dismissed the proposal as “totally unacceptable.”
- Oil prices rose today in response to the weekend’s uncertainty over U.S.-Iranian negotiations on a peace plan. Meanwhile, gas prices are hovering at $4.52 per gallon ahead of the Memorial Day weekend.
