Nancy Guthrie’s family is now offering a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to her whereabouts, more than three weeks after the 84-year-old was reported missing.
Her daughter Savannah Guthrie, a “Today” show host, announced the reward in an Instagram video Tuesday morning. She acknowledged that her mother, who was last seen Jan. 31 at her house in Tucson, Arizona, may no longer be alive.
“If this is what is to be, then we will accept it, but we need to know where she is,” she said. “We need her to come home. For that reason, we are offering a family reward of up to $1 million for any information that leads us to her recovery.”
The FBI is also offering a $100,000 reward for information that could lead to Guthrie’s return.
The investigation into Guthrie’s disappearance, conducted jointly by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI, has confounded investigators and the public. Guthrie was reported missing Feb. 1 after she did not attend a virtual Sunday church service viewing with friends.
Pima County sheriff’s deputies found blood on the front door that was later confirmed to be hers.
