The Apple Watch SE is the most affordable out of all the Apple watches. Though it doesn’t come with all the bells and whistles that some of the pricier models come with, you can still send texts, take calls, use Siri and listen to music and podcasts straight from your wrist. This model’s battery lasts up to 18 hours and it’s water-resistant up to 50 meters, according to Apple. You can also pair the Apple Watch SE with Apple’s Health and Fitness apps to track workout performance on up to 20 different types of exercise and can monitor sleep quality, heart rate and more. Because of this, NBC Select reporter Harry Rabinowitz says that it is an excellent first smartwatch.

The 2025 Wellness Award winner has a bigger and brighter screen than previous models and it also charges much faster — with the ability to get up to 80% battery in a half hour, according to Apple. It’s also equipped with the latest WatchOS 11 software. The new OS has fine tuned its fitness and vitals tracking tools, with graphics that are easier to read at glance.

The Series 10 comes in 42 millimeter and 46 millimeter sizes in an aluminum or titanium case, with lots of watch band options to choose from. Currently, the 46mm size with an aluminum case is on sale for 23% off, bringing the price down to $329 from $429. The 42mm size with an aluminum case is also on sale for 25% off, which brings the price down by $100 to $299.
