* Who’s winning the 2024 presidential race? The three latest national polls point in competing directions: A CNN poll found Vice President Kamala Harris with a one-point lead over Donald Trump; a Quinnipiac University poll showed Trump with a one-point lead over Harris; and the latest Reuters/Ipsos survey found the Democratic nominee ahead by six points. * Facing an avalanche of brutal allegations, North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson claims to have hired a law firm to investigate his latest scandal. The Hill’s report on this added, “Robinson’s campaign said on Tuesday it hired Binnall Law Group, a law firm based in northern Virginia whose partner, Jesse Binnall, had worked for former President Trump and his campaign.”
