Entertainment and politics intersected in August after Clint Eastwood delivered a bizarre, rambling speech at the final night of Republican National Convention. The conservative actor spoke to an empty chair that was meant to represent an imaginary President Obama. Team Romney insisted they thought Eastwood would use the chair to sit in, and not as a prop. Obama took a jab at Eastwood’s odd performance, tweeting out a photo of himself sitting in a chair marked “The President.” Underneath the photo read, “this seat’s taken.”
