Apparel and footwear launches

Saucony makes many of our favorite running shoes, and the Triumph series is an NBC Select-favorite because of its ample cushioning and comfort.

Rabinowitz has been running in the Triumph 23s for the past few weeks, saying they’re best for casual and recovery runs. “I’m a fan of the new tongue design, which is stretchier and more flexible than before, and like that they’re ounce lighter than the 22s,” says Rabinowitz. The Triumph 23 are available in men’s and women’s sizing.

The Saucony Endorphin Speed 4 is one of our favorite tempo and racing running shoes for men and women, so we had high expectations trying out the latest Speed 5s. Rabinowitz has been running in them for a little over a week, and while the latest Saucony Triumphs are more in-line with his taste, these Speed 5s feel light and fast, just like the Speed 4s. The new version has a slightly looser toe box and a slightly stiffer heel, says Rabinowitz, and it’s a great option for tempo runs or race day.

Ugg’s latest cozy boot is a lower-profile version of the brand’s Classic and Classic Mini shoes, making it more slipper-like, better to wear year round and easier to take on and off. The Classic Micro is designed with all the features you know and love, like a soft sheepskin lining, suede upper and lightweight sugarcane EVA outsole. There’s also a pull tab on its heel.

Compared to the previous model, the FloatZig 2 is made with a new type of foam that’s lighter in weight, plus has more spring and bounce, which helps runners with energy return. The shoe’s midfoot area is also wider than its previous model (the FloatZig 1) to be more stabilizing, and the mesh upper has a sock-like feel with a gusseted tongue that won’t shift as you move. There’s also a cushioned collar around the heel. You can buy these sneakers in men’s and women’s sizes.

Nuuds launched its first denim collection earlier this year, and now, it’s expanding into jean shorts you can wear all summer long. The shorts have a high-rise, A-line fit with a three-inch inseam, and they’re roomier in the thighs to prevent pinching and tugging. They’re made from vintage denim and come in light and dark washes.

“I struggle to find jean shorts that are actually comfortable for all-day wear when I’m sitting and standing in the heat,” says NBC Select reporter Zoe Malin, who received a sample from the brand. “These are fitted enough that they look styled, but loose enough that they don’t feel squeezy. I love wearing them with a boxy T-shirt, or tucking in a tank top. I’m going to live in these shorts this summer.”

Tech launches

Rabinowitz has been testing the Nintendo Switch 2 for about a week, and will have a full review later this month.Courtesy Harry Rabinowitz

The Nintendo Switch 2 launches eight years after the original, with a slate of new games and accessories. “I’ve been testing it for a little over a week, and it’s a substantial upgrade over the original,” says Rabinowitz, who received a sample from Nintendo. The controllers are much more comfortable to use, the screen is large, detailed and luxurious compared to the original, and the kickstand is vastly improved and is actually useful now. The Switch 2 is much more powerful than the Switch 1, which is noticeable even playing Switch 1 games — Rabinowitz says he noticed much smoother gameplay and faster load times playing Pokemon Violet on the Switch 2 compared to the Switch 1.

You can learn more about the console, games and accessories in our Nintendo Switch 2 guide, and check out our unboxing video below.

Mario Kart World is a brand new game exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. The biggest change from previous games in the series is that you can freely drive around a giant open world — you’re not restricted to laps around different tracks. There are also new characters, items, tracks, costumes, vehicles and too much to list here.

This is Samsung’s thinnest and lightest phone. At 5.8 millimeters thick, it’s thinner than the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (8.2mm thick), iPhone 16 (7.8mm thick) and nearly every other phone on the market right now. Its thinness and weight are its main selling points; outside of the physical design, it has a lot of familiar features seen in the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, including a fast, high resolution screen and detailed 200 megapixel rear camera.

At a glance, this latest Garmin smartwatch looks and functions a lot like the Apple Watch Ultra (it’s also priced similarly). It has a two-inch square screen, the biggest of any Garmin watch, and is made with titanium and sapphire crystal glass, two of the most premium (and durable) materials in the smartwatch world. But looking past the physical design, the X1 is more similar to Garmin’s other premium watches like the Garmin Fenix 8 and Garmin Forerunner 970, with a built-in flashlight, microphone, speaker and altimeter, plus offline maps and almost every fitness and training feature the brand has to offer.

Rabinowitz loves how small and pocketable the Fujifilm X Half camera is.Courtesy Harry Rabinowitz

This digital camera has a small, retro-inspired design that takes cues from film cameras. The X Half takes half-frame shots that are vertical like your smartphone. It has a small vertical screen on the back to line up your shots, view photos and change settings. But the most interesting feature is the film camera mode, where the camera locks you into a certain look and settings for all your shots until the “roll of film” is done. Then, using the X Half app, you download your “roll of film” onto your phone. “I’ve been using the X Half for about a week and, while it’s expensive for what it is, it’s small, unique and a lot of fun to use,” says Rabinowitz. (He received a sample from the brand a week ahead of launch).

This is Marshall’s first soundbar, and is a premium one at that. The $999 price tag puts it up against competitors like the Sonos Arc Ultra ($999), Bose Smart Ultra ($899) and Sony Bravia Theater Bar 8 ($849). Like those soundbars, it’s a long, slim, standalone speaker that plugs into your TV and provides vastly improved audio compared to your TV speakers. You can also connect to the soundbar over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Like Marshall’s other speakers, it looks like an amplifier and has knobs to control volume, bass, treble and more.

One of our favorite electric scooters is the Segway Ninebot E2 Plus because it’s lightweight and low-priced. The new E2 Plus II adds new features and has a similarly competitive price, but weighs 36.2 pounds, up from 31.7 on the original. The main upgrade is the spring suspension fork, which should absorb bumps in the road, leading to a more comfortable, stable ride. Whether that’s worth the extra weight is up to you.

Skin care launches

Glossier released a hair and body mist this month, which acts as a perfume but is lighter in weight, less concentrated in fragrance and feels more refreshing on skin. It’s sheer and comes in two scents: orange blossom neroli and sandstone. The brand recommends spraying the mist all over your hair and body in the morning, and then reapplying throughout the day.

HigherDose’s newest device combines microcurrent and red light therapy to activate muscle tissue, stimulate blood flow and break up restricted fascia (connective tissue), according to the brand. By doing so, HigherDose says regular use can boost circulation, encourage lymphatic drainage, ease sore muscles to make recovery quicker and improve skin texture to tone and tighten. The set comes with a Microcurrent Body Sculptor Tool, plus an activator gel and magnesium spray to coat your skin with during a session.

Tatcha’s Dewy Milk Moisturizer is a lighter version of the brand’s Dewy Skin Cream, and one of the brand’s most-requested products. It has a milky liquid texture, quickly absorbs into skin and leaves behind a glowy look. The moisturizer is suitable for all skin types, too, according to Tatcha.

Prequel’s new moisturizer is designed for all skin types and has a feel that lands somewhere between a lightweight lotion and thick cream, so skin absorbs it up quickly. It leaves behind a non-greasy finish and is formulated with hydrating ingredients that strengthen the skin barrier, like glycerin and ceramides, according to the brand. The moisturizer is fragrance-free and you can use it morning or night

The Lucent Facial Refiner is an exfoliating mask made with two chemical exfoliators: beta hydroxy acids (BHAs) and polyhydroxy acids (PHAs), the latter of which the brand has never used in a product before. These ingredients work together, along with essential oils and vitamins, to give the skin a more even texture and appearance, as well as refine the look of pores and leave behind a soft, bright surface, according to the brand. You apply the mask, which feels like a lightweight cream, leave it on for about 15 minutes and rinse it off once or twice a week. It’s suitable for normal to dry skin, as well as mature skin.

This is Kopari Beauty’s first line of SPF lip balms. They have mineral formulas and offer SPF 30 protection, plus they’re made with hydrating, nourishing ingredients like ceramides, hyaluronic acid, squalane, bisabolol, vitamin E and jojoba seed oil to prevent chapped lips. The lip balms don’t leave behind a sticky feel, according to the brand. They come in three shades/scents: watermelon, coconut and pink strawberry. You can also buy them without SPF, if you prefer.

NuFace is best known for its microcurrent devices, but it also makes skin care products like this single-use gel sheet mask. It’s made with the brand’s proprietary blend of hydrating, cooling ingredients like glacial water, as well as other electrolytes, glycerin and niacinamide. The mask helps lock in moisture to make skin look more radiant after use, according to NuFace.

Thrive Causemetics is expanding its Brilliant Eye Brightener collection with two products: an illuminating under-eye corrector and a loose setting powder. They both brighten dark circles using light-reflecting pigments to make you look more awake, according to the brand, and come in three shades. The corrector has peptides and niacinamide in its formula to make skin look smoother with less fine lines, while the loose setting powder blurs the under-eye area, is made with niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, and leaves behind a smooth, crease-free finish.

Glowbar, a facial membership service, debuted its first skin care product this month. The Expert Cleanser is made with white willow bark, a gentle ingredient the brand says helps fight breakouts and inflammation. The concentrated formula also has alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) and PHAs. Malin is a Glowbar member and gets monthly facials in Manhattan, so she was an immediate fan of the cleanser when the brand sent her a bottle. “I keep it in my shower and use it to remove grime after a long day, or sweat after a workout,” she says. “It never irritates my sensitive skin and leaves my face feeling fresh and soft.”

Even out your complexion and protect your skin from UV rays with this tint, which offers SPF 50 protection and light, buildable coverage. The mineral sunscreen feels similar to a serum and is made with ingredients like non-nano zinc oxide, as well as hydrating niacinamide and bisabolol. It leaves behind a radiant, glowy finish and comes in 18 shades, according to the brand. The skin tint is also water-resistant.

Hair care launches

Ouai upgraded and relaunched its Super Dry Shampoo, which comes in two fragrances: Melrose Place and Cape Town. It’s made with superfine, invisible starches that absorb sweat and oils, leaving your hair feeling clean and refreshed even if you haven’t washed it in a few days, according to the brand. The dry shampoo also lifts roots and helps with styling.

Verb’s Density Peptide Collection is designed to help increase hair thickness and fullness, as well as reduce visible shedding and fallout, according to the brand. Both the shampoo and serum are made with ginseng root extract to increase the size and depth of hair follicles, and niacinamide to boost blood circulation in the scalp, making hair look thicker and fuller, according toVerb. You can use the products daily.

Travel launches

Away Retro Sport Collection

The pieces in Away’s limited-edition Retro Sport Collection are inspired by vintage athletic designs and made to meet the demands of an active lifestyle. Standout items include The Sport Backpack, which has a padded back pocket that fits a laptop or tennis racket, The Gym Bag, which has a dedicated shoe pocket and a hidden loop to secure a yoga mat or towel and accessories like its Running Cube (a packing cube for shoes). Away also released a racket bag for tennis or pickleball gear.

Dagne Dover 365 Neoprene Collection

The Rhys Drawstring Backpack and Bennie Day Sling are the two newest, permanent additions to Dagne Dover’s 365 Neoprene Collection. The backpack converts into a slouchy tote so you can wear it two ways, and it has a drawstring closure, built-in luggage sleeve and a main compartment that fits most laptops up to 14 inches. The sling has two two zip pockets, is water-repellent and comes with a long, adjustable strap so you can wear the bag across your body or as a fanny pack.

Kitchen launches

Brightland Everyday Line

Brightland makes some of our favorite olive oils, and now the brand offers even more varieties with its Everyday Line. The collection includes two types of olive oil designed for home cooks: the Everyday Cooking Oil and Everyday Salad Oil. Both oils come in squeezy bottles, making them more low-maintenance and easier to use compared to Brightland’s other oils, which come in glass bottles. The Everyday Cooking Oil has a smooth, buttery, mild flavor, so it’s best for high-heat cooking, while the Every

Stand mixers likely come to mind first when you hear “KitchenAid,” but the brand sells a suite of countertop appliances, like this new blender. Its precision speed control knob and pulse function let you customize your food or beverage’s texture, and you can also choose from automatic ice crush, smoothie and clean settings. The blender has asymmetrical blends that blend at different angles, which help pull the mixture toward them to effectively break down ingredients. You get a 68-ounce blender jar and lid with your purchase.

If you have limited kitchen counter space but strive to be an at-home barista, De’Longhi’s Dedica Duo espresso machine is exactly what you’re looking for. The appliance is only 5.9 inches wide and has espresso, double espresso and cold brew brewing options, plus a built-in steam wand with preset drink recipes to make foamy milk with different consistencies. The mini espresso machine’s digital touch display makes it easy to use, even for beginner baristas, and it comes with all the accessories you need, like a portafilter, tamper, measuring scoop and filter baskets.

Home launches

This new air purifier from Coway looks very similar to one of our favorites from the brand: the Coway Airmega 100, only smaller and cheaper. Similar to that model, it pulls air from every direction and pushes out clean air instead. It has simple touch controls on the top panel for things like fan speed, timers, sleep mode and panel lock. It also has a built-in light that changes color depending on the detected air quality; you can change it into an amber-colored night light or turn it off completely.

Canopy’s filtered showerhead is one of the best options you can buy, and the brand recently expanded its filtration line to the tub. The Bath Tub Filter comes with multiple attachment bands to help you install it over an existing spout, as well as a filter that removes chlorine, chloramines, hard water minerals and bacteria from water, according to the brand. The fixture also has a built-in color-changing temperature indicator, and it’s dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning. Canopy makes bath tub filters for adults and kids — the kids version has an extra soft spout cover in case children bump their heads on it. You need to replace the filters inside both fixtures every 90 days.

The new GridCloud Pillow gives you the benefits of Purple’s GelFlex Grid system and the softness of traditional down pillows. The Grid layer flexes under your head and neck to support their weight and relieve pressure, while the down-like, clump-resistant fiber stuffing makes the pillow feel plush and cozy, according to the brand. The pillow also has a breathable cover that promotes airflow to keep you cool throughout the night.

Tinkr

Tinkr is a new brand that sells stylish home improvement tools you can use for DIY projects, furniture assembly and more. Tools come in pastel and neutral colors, making them feel more approachable than traditional metal hammers and screwdrivers, and they’re made with features like ergonomic grips and soft-touch finishes. The brand’s debut collection includes tool kits, like the DIY Essentials Kit, Home Essentials Kit and Modern Tool Kit, as well as project kits for patching walls, painting and hanging artwork. You can buy most Tinkr products on the brand’s website, and select items are currently sold at Target.
